After implementing the Meerplan, Hotel Groningen Plaza will be right on the lake. The lake is dug out to the hotel and the hotel is provided with a new terrace. A boulevard is also created between the lake and the hotel. The Meerplan also provides for two scaffolds where boats can berth.
